Alan + Mackenzie /// Honeymoon Haunt

I have always been drawn to surrealist art work, paintings, images ect. I love getting lost in the background details. Trying to put myself into the piece. How does it feel, is there a scent within the scene, whats the temperature. But most importantly whats the human experience. The haunted elements or ghostly images can mean many things. For me personally, its little nods to the plot lines that continually race in my brain. Sometimes it’s my dreams, my hopes or bliss. Other times, it’s my intrusive brain, bathing in the dirty bath water of my anxiety. I find myself needing to make things, I process best that way. Most IMPORTANTLY, I created something. Please use all of yourself.

I have been waiting for the right lovers to make these images. Keys to successful light painting?

Step one, you need a subject who can inspire you in a pitch black room. Step two, you need a subject who will be comfortable in the dark for a long time. Step: three four and five. A tripod , remote shutter release and a light source, which can be just about anything. Light wand, lamps, holiday lights or kid toys from the dollar store. You get the idea… anything goes.

Alan and Mackenzie just got home from their honeymoon in Paris. Their wedding was one for the books but thats for another day. Come along on my honeymoon haunt.
