Wild Moab utah elopement / wedding
Haley + Truck
Sometimes you get a wedding that lingers
This is one of those weddings for me
We had a long drive ahead, the pavement disappeared and we continued on paths made of red rock and dust. Roland the hound dog riding shot gun, while we tried to be soothing to the mother of the bride. With an immense fear of heights, we blindfolded her so she couldn’t see the jagged cliffs edges looming just feet away. Finally we arrived to Base camp with an amazing little cabin on the bank of the Colorado river.
The morning of the wedding started off with a baptism of sorts in the Colorado river. Our bride haley feels a deep connection to this part of the world. The rest of the day continued at a slow pace. There was no rush, the only guest were Haleys grandmother, mother, best friend and Trucks lovely mother. Yes, that was it and it was just how they wanted it. Haley and truck got ready in a traditional Navajo Hogans. The doors always facing east to welcome the sun rising. After the ceremony, They picked up the benches and carried to the table on the hill overlooking the river. The meal prepared, buffalo burgers and local wines. Every detail on the tables are so special to the both of them. The moon rose, the cake was cut and they were blissed.
