Isle of skye wedding / scotland
Zoe + Sam
I met Zoe what seems like a life time ago, sitting on a couch in England with gin and tonics in hand. She’s one of the more genuine souls you’ll ever meet and when Nieve ( her sweet daughter) face timed to ask if I would take pictures of her mums wedding, I about cried. Yes yes yes, I wouldn’t miss it for the world. To know Zoe, is to love her and the same can be said for Sam. He’s sturdy and caring, thoughtful and quick. Together they make the perfect pair.
We walked to the ceremony in the garden and I will never forget the stomping clapping and cheering as Zoe walked down the aisle. The Scottish know how to celebrate, that is for sure. You would never know it was pissing rain with the energy in that tent. I couldn’t help but wipe a few tears when Sam gave Nieve her own special wedding jewelry. What a beautiful example of blended family love. The whole day was littered with tradition and laughter. One for the books
I like to joke we honeymooned together because the next morning, we all piled in the car and headed north to isle of skye. I had them bring their wedding attire for a few misty portraits in that stunning landscape. The gin and whiskey stayed in a constant flow and the memories are unmatched. Love you both
As you all know, music is critical for how I create. This is a band Sam showed me while driving the road to Skye.
